SFC - The Inspiration

SFC - The Inspiration

My Papa, Sam Forse Collins, inspired SFC Fitness & Health.
S = Strength
F = Function
C = Core
I remember sitting down at his kitchen table discussing the idea of stepping out on my own as a young business owner and whether or not it was a wise decision. He would always ask me when I was going to start my own business; he saw something in me that, at the time, I could not see. I had my doubts and fears of the unknown, but Papa laughed and said, " Girl, you're ready, and you will be successful; what are you waiting for?

So, in February 2019, I took the plunge and started SFC Fitness and Health. I used Papa's initials to name my business and the Celtic symbol, the Dara Knot, as SFC's logo.

Papa was my rock. He believed in me from day one, so it was only fitting to have him at the heart of my business. His name reminds me to be strong, confident and, most importantly, reminds me of my values. I started SFC to help folks, and Papa was the kind of man that would give you the shirt of his back; he lived to help people.

I chose the Dara Celtic Knot because it symbolizes strength and inner strength. It also represents our family's Irish heritage, and Papa ingrained in me the importance of family and our roots.

SFC is more than just a name; it's a way of life and a community.

WE ARE SFC

Stronger Together - We build and foster a community that supports one another.
"The eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of you, nor can the head to the feet say I have no need of you. There is no division in the body; all members care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. For the body does not consist of one member but many!"
