Careers
Careers at SFC Fitness & Health
At SFC Fitness and Health, we believe strength training can make a profoundly positive difference in people’s lives — physically, mentally, and emotionally. We see coaching as more than workouts. It’s a long-term investment in health, capability, confidence, and quality of life.
Our goal is to integrate thoughtful, intelligent coaching into the lives of our members so they can continue doing the things they love — and the things life demands of them — for many years to come.
We are building a gym culture rooted in strength, longevity, personal responsibility, and community, and we’re looking for coaches who want to do meaningful work and grow alongside us here in Boerne, TX.
Who We Hire
We tend to attract (and love working with) coaches who fall into one of these paths — though no one fits perfectly into a single box.
Has a background as an athlete and later began coaching or training within that sport.
Easily builds honest, authentic relationships with people from all walks of life.
Is drawn to coaching not just for performance, but for its impact on real people.
Is looking to build a sustainable, long-term career in coaching.
Wants to live and grow roots in Boerne, TX and the surrounding Hill Country.
Has formal education or experience in kinesiology, exercise physiology, physical therapy, or a related field.
Is already working as a practitioner but wants to go deeper with clients through strength training and long-term coaching.
Desires a career path that allows for real connection, continuity, and impact.
Enjoys working within a team while still having autonomy to grow professionally.
Knows they want to live and work in Boerne, TX.
Is already working full-time as a trainer or coach.
Earns acceptable pay but feels burned out from long days, split schedules, or floor-grinding just to make it work.
Enjoys helping people build foundational strength and long-term physical capacity.
Values being part of a professional, supportive coaching team.
Is seeking stability, growth, and quality of life in Boerne, TX.
We don’t want training to be your thing — we want training to support your thing.
Whether that’s playing golf, hiking with your dog, chasing your kids, or just living pain-free — we train for life.
At SFC, we don’t just coach workouts. We coach confidence, capability, and longevity.
If that resonates with you, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.
The Role of a Coach at SFC
As a coach at SFC Fitness and Health, you will:
Support members in their progress — physically and psychologically.
Develop your own clientele by building real relationships and trust.
Coach one-on-one sessions, teaching foundational movement patterns and details with care and professionalism.
Coach and supervise small-group training sessions, mastering the art of managing, teaching, and leading groups.
Embody and guide the SFC culture:
- Work hard, but intelligently
- Respect that progress is rarely linear
- Take the work seriously — but don’t take yourself too seriously
Contribute to the daily operations of the gym, including programming support, facility care, and occasional content creation (education, social media, or articles).
Career Coach Opportunity
SFC Fitness and Health is seeking a full-time coach to join our team.
This role may include:
- 3–12 hours per week of one-on-one personal training
- 1–2 hours per week of learning, shadowing, and business skill development
- 1–3 hours per week coaching small-group training classes
Experience working with a wide range of clients — across ages, abilities, and fitness levels — is required.
We’re looking for a coach who can:
Generate and convert prospective leads
Onboard and prepare new members for training
Maintain strong, attentive, long-term relationships with existing members
For the right person — someone motivated to build a stable clientele and grow as a professional — this position offers a clear path toward full-time employment, income growth, and long-term career development.
Who Thrives Here
Our ideal candidate is committed to coaching as a profession, not just a job.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone who:
Is passionate about helping others experience the life-changing benefits of strength training
Has experience coaching individuals with varied needs, goals, and skill levels
Adds value to group training, personal training, and the coaching team as a whole
